Interesting attire,dessert,fruits

A Nyonya bride in traditional Nyonya(Straits born)bridal gown.

Tai Bak ,a sweet flour dessert served at the Nyonya wedding .
This is a typical Nyonya dessert somewhat like cendol (pronounced
CH ENDOL)except it is in clear sweet soup.
Cendol is usually served with brown /coconut sugar with shaved ice added.

Small Indian sweet potatoes(uncooked yet) and
red snake skin fruit (Buah Salak from Thailand).
The Buah Salak has twin fruits inside the leathery thorny skin.
The fruits taste sweet and sour.
The tiny sweet potatoes need to be washed and then boiled before they are ready for consumption.

These are 2 unusual wood displays. All art work can be seen and admired at close range in the hotel lobby.

The rafflesia in the natural history museum. The hotel (just at the entrance)is Merdeka Palace.
